Ed Howard was a cornerback who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1978-1979. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 1978 NFL Draft by the Steelers out of Syracuse University. He played in 25 games for the Steelers, starting seven of them, and recorded one interception and 49 tackles. Howard was waived by the Steelers in September 1980 and briefly played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring from football.
